THE OHIO CHILD WELFARE TRAINING PROGRAM
Learn Well. Do Well.
In 2019, Ohio's child welfare staff and caregivers took almost 10,000 hours of distance learning courses through the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP)!
We offer a variety of online learning activities on an array of topics. We constantly add to our library by developing, vetting and curating high-quality courses to give you access to information when and where you need it.
We hope that you find a learning opportunity to help you succeed in your professional and personal goals.

Due to the recent health crisis, Preservice Training for prospective foster, kinship, and adoptive families has been modified to be completed online.
If you are being licensed through a county agency, this page will provide you with the information you need to register for, and complete, the Preservice training series. If you are being licensed through a private foster care or adoption agency, please contact your agency for training information.
In early April, the OCWTP added additional functionality to their virtual classroom platform (GoToTraining). The new features include the ability to use breakout rooms and other collaborative options to bring individual and group work to life in the virtual world.
